A Broome County Court judge has ruled that Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell can continue to discuss details surrounding the arson case of Jason Stokes. Judge Kevin Dooley made the decision yesterday after defendant Jason Stokes and his lawyer sought to restrict Cornwell from discussing the case in public. Though Cornwell can continue to make public remarks, Judge Cooley did encourage him to be mindful of disclosure laws and refrain from sharing news articles about the case on his Facebook page.

Jason Stokes has been charged with second degree arson, after authorities say he set his own house on fire earlier this year. Stokes has pleaded not guilty.
