William Kenyon was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison Thursday.
The 50-year-old from Johnson City was convicted of first-degree manslaughter in July in connection with the 2009 death of his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Kelly Wescott.
Kenyon’s sentencing was delayed after the district attorney’s office asked him to be sentenced as a persistent felony offender. Kenyon has spent time behind bars before, including a conviction on vehicular manslaughter in 1991.
He received his sentence in Broome County Court.
