An Endicott man was taken into custody over the weekend after he was found semiconscious and bent over the open trunk of a stolen car in the parking lot of the Oakdale Mall. 25-year-old Adam Morneau is accused of taking his mother’s car without permission Friday. The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office asked Johnson City Police for assistance because they believed Morneau was heading to the mall. Officers had to wake the man when they arrived. They believe he was under the influence after finding a pill bottle in the center console of the vehicle. Morneau was charged with a felony and four misdemeanors and remanded to the Broome County Jail after arraignment.
