A shooting in Ithaca sent one man into surgery at a local hospital, according to Ithaca police. At 7:04 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 400 block of W. Green Street for reports of shots fired. They found a 21-year-old man on South Plain Street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was conscious, but didn’t give police any information. Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital where he went in for surgery. Police determined the victim was arguing with another man in the street. State police and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
