o (154th Annual) Parade – 10 a.m. Parade Chairman: John Loftus. – Line up 9:30 a.m. – 9:55 a.m. Temple Street by Owego Police Department. Parade Route: Temple to North to Main to Paige to Front and Tioga County Veterans Memorials. – Community organizations invited to march/ride to remember our Fallen Heroes


o 10:45 a. m. – (35th) Service of Remembrance Tioga County Veterans Memorial
– Wreath placed by DAR Karen Messersmith at Civil War Union Memorial.
– Wreaths placed at TCVM by Gold Star Families/Purple Heart and Valor Recipients
– Flag presentations by OES students as Scouts read names of Fallen Heroes
– Invocation and later Benediction by Honor Guard Deacon Michael Donovan
– Keynote Address: Former Army Captain Chaplain and Bronze Star Recipient Patrick Van Durmie’s reflections from his year’s duty in war torn Northern Iraq
– “Salute to America” medley by Owego Free Academy Marching Band
– Tioga County Veterans Service Agency Michael Middaugh on veterans support
– Remembering deceased Tioga County Veterans since Veterans Day
– Proclamation to the late Vietnam Veteran Chet Harding for 40 years of veterans service including 800 volunteer hours restoring vandalized Civil War monuments


– Lost at Sea Ceremony on Court Street Bridge – Especially remembering WWII’s first Fallen Hero Seaman Delmar Sibley aboard the USS Arizona since Pearl Harbor


o 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m on WEBO AM Livestream Facebook by Mary Beth Jones and JoAnn Walter – 54th Roll Call of Deceased Tioga County veterans buried in 65 cemeteries
