**UPDATED**

Many areas along the Susquehanna River are experiencing minor to moderate flooding today, especially in Broome, Tioga, and Bradford Counties. Streams and creeks are also flooding in the Southern Tier.

In Broome County, the Susquehanna River crested at 15.1 feet in Conklin this morning, more than 3 feet above flood stage. It is expected to remain around 15 feet for the rest of today before going down. At that level, it is flooding low-lying areas in the town, including Schnurbusch Park. Minor flooding is occurring downriver at Washington Street in the City of Binghamton.

In Vestal, the river was measured at 22 feet at 11am, and is expected to reach 22.4 feet this afternoon before going down tonight. Flood stage in Vestal is 18 feet, so many low-lying areas are flooded, including the Rail Trail and parts of Old Vestal Road.

Flooded areas can be seen along Route 17 into Apalachin and Owego, including Hickories Park. The park is closed until further notice. Water can also be seen in yards along Front Street and other areas in the Village of Owego. Kirby Park in Nichols will see some minor flooding today, along with other low-lying areas along the river in Tioga County.

Moderate flooding is expected in the Valley. At 11am, the river was measured at 14.5 feet at the gauge near Waverly, and is expected to crest slightly higher than that this afternoon. At that level, flooding will continue in Barton, Tioga Point, and Milltown before the water recedes this weekend. Minor flooding is also expected along the river in Towanda and other parts of Bradford County later today.

Flood warnings continue for the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers across our listening area into this weekend. Drivers are reminded to not try and drive over water-covered roads. We will continue to bring you updates throughout today and tomorrow on WEBO.
