State Police out of Towanda have charged a Monroeton woman with theft and forgery related to an incident which took place in Albany Township. 27-year-old Sarah Ann Johnson was a caregiver who allegedly overpaid herself and made unauthorized transactions using the checkbook of the person under her care. The transactions allegedly took place between July and September of last year. The unauthorized funds totaled over $1,700. Charges were filed against Johnson in district court and an arrest warrant was issued.
