Members of the New York Army National Guard’s 827th Engineer Company will be returning to their home armories in Walton, Horseheads, and Buffalo this week.
The Company left home in February last year for training and deployed to Afganistan in April.
Their primary role was to upgrade roads in Afganistan.
The unit’s members are from Broome, Cortland, Chenango, and Delaware counties.
