A Norwich man has been arrested after a drug investigation at the Norwich Motor Lodge. 32-year-old Shane Manwarren has been charged with two counts of harassment, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, criminal possession with intent to sell, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal mischief. During the Chenango County Sheriff’s investigation, Manwarren shoved a police officer and resisted arrest after damaging a patrol vehicle. He tried to flee the scene on foot, and attempted to dispose of heroin, prescription medication, and a hypodermic needle. All of the items were recovered, and he was also found to be in possession of more heroin. Manwarren was arraigned in the Norwich Town Court and sent to Chenango County Jail on $10,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Norwich court at a later date.
