An Owego-Apalachin Central School District bus crashed around 7:30am Saturday on Interstate 88 near Oneonta while transporting members of the school’s varsity volleyball team to a tournament at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School. No severe injuries were reported to any of the 13 people on board. Ten players, two coaches, and the bus driver were transported to A. O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, where they were evaluated, treated, and released. The bus left the roadway and ended up on its side, according to pictures and accounts from witnesses (one witness snapped this photo and posted it on social media). The district issued an official statement, which can be seen on the WEBO Facebook Page.
