Another building is ready to be dedicated in the Owego-Apalachin School District after the Flood of 2011 wiped out three district buildings. Before the regular meeting of the board of education, a brief ceremony will mark the dedication of Owego-Apalachin’s district offices and administration building. This is the third and final building to be rebuilt after the damaging flood of 2011. The district has already completed and opened a new Owego Elementary School and a maintenance building. The dedication ceremony for the building which was built with assistance of FEMA funds, is scheduled for 6pm Wednesday in front of the new building at 5 Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego. At the board of education meeting to follow the dedication, Lee Dunham and Becky Goodrich will be honored for their service to the district. This will be their final school board meeting.
