Odessa residents will vote on dissolution Tuesday.
If the Schuyler County village is dissolved, it will be split up into the towns of Montour and Catharine.
A study found that the dissolution would mean lower taxes for village residents, but they might lose some services. Taxes would go up for town residents.
The vote will be held from noon to 9pm at the Odessa Municipal Building.
