Owego man with criminal history gets 2-4 years in state prison for felony burglary plea

(Binghamton, NY) – In Broome County Court, Randy R. Buck Jr., 36 of Owego, entered a plea of guilty to the felony charge of Burglary in the Third Degree. Buck admitted that on August 7 he unlawfully entered an apartment on Washington Street in Binghamton, and stole computer equipment and a credit card. He subsequently used credit card to purchase items at the Oakdale Mall.

Buck has a prior felony conviction from June, 2014, in Chenango County for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree. Buck will be sentenced on February 23, 2023, to 2-4 years in New York State prison.

“Defendant Buck’s criminal history clearly shows a disregard for the rules of a civilized society. As a result, he’ll be out of our community for up to for years,” said Michael A. Korchak, Broome County District Attorney.

The case was investigated and charged by the Binghamton Police Department. Senior Assistant District Attorney Alex Czebiniak prosecuted the case for the District Attorney’s Office.
