Owego police recently arrested Shawn H. Marshall, 28, of Newark Valley, after a traffic stop and charged him with:
- Tampering with Evidence (Felony),
- Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Misdemeanor),
- Criminal Possession of Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Misdemeanor),
- Criminal Use Drug Paraphernalia – Packaging (Misdemeanor),
- Criminal Use Drug Paraphernalia – Scales (Misdemeanor),
- Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree (Misdemeanor),
- Unregistered Motor Vehicle (Violation),
- Uninspected Motor Vehicle (Violation
- and Improper License Plate (Violation).
Marshall was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Village of Owego Court.
On July 20, 2022, at approximately 2:21 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Damian M. High, 48, of Endicott, for the felony of Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years). After a traffic stop on Taft Avenue, High displayed characteristics associated with impairment. He was transported to State Police at Endwell, where his reportable B.A.C was 0.10%.
On July 22, 2022, at approximately 11:35 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Sibyl D. Reynolds, 54, of Binghamton, for the felony of Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years). While assisting another trooper on another matter, Reynolds displayed characteristics associated with impairment. She was taken to State Police at Endwell where her reportable B.A.C was 0.12%.
Ithaca police have arrested Shawn M. Fenner, 51, of Ithaca, and charged him with:
- Assault 2nd Degree (Class D Felony),
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree (Class D Felony)
- and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (Class A misdemeanor).
On Saturday, August 13 at 8:43 p.m., Ithaca police responded to a stabbing in the 100 Block of West Green Street, where officers found a man with anon-life threatening stab wound to his arm. The man, who identified himself as a delivery driver, was in his car near a restaurant waiting for a food order when he was punched in the face by the suspect through the open driver’s window and stabbed when he tried to get out of his car. The suspect is unknown to the victim. Fenner was remanded to the Tompkins County jail in lieu of cash/bond bail.
