Owego police make felony arrests for DWI, criminal contempt, warrant, vehicle theft

Owego police arrested Robert A. Skope, 44, Owego, for Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (Felony), following an investigation of a Disturbance on William Street.  Skope was turned over to Tioga County Sheriff’s custody for arraignment at Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court and released on his own recognizance by Candor Justice Townsend per New York State Bail Law.

Owego police arrested Rebecca S. Sickler, 43, Owego, for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree (Felony), following an investigation of a vehicle theft on East Temple Street. Sickler was turned over to Tioga County Sheriff’s custody for arraignment at Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court.

Owego police arrested Kole A. Rose, 34, Berkshire, NY, on an Arrest Warrant issued by Tioga County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Stolen Property (D-Felony). Rose was turned over to Tioga County Sheriff’s custody for arraignment at Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court.

Owego police arrested Cambria A Durfee, 37, Sayre, PA, on an Arrest Warrant issued by Vestal police for Possession of Forged Instrument (Felony). Durfee was turned over to Vestal Police for arraignment at Broome County Centralized Arraignment Court.

Owego police arrested Heather B. Canfield, 47, Elmira, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated with a Prior Conviction (Felony), following a traffic stop. Canfield was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Village of Owego Court.

Owego police arrested Sarah J. Little, 33, Elmira, NY, for DWI with Blood Alcohol level above 0.18 percent (Felony), following an investigation of a Disabled Vehicle on East Front Street. Little was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Village of Owego Court.


Waverly police arrested Joseph Irvin Kupetsky, 44, Factoryville, PA, on October 12, for failing to register as a sex offender in New York State, a Level 3 Felony. He was previously listed in Wyoming County, Pa. Kupetsky is alleged to have been living in Waverly for approximately two months without notifying authorities. He was sent to the Tioga County CAP Court for arraignment and to await further legal action.
