Part of Broad Street in Waverly is closed today due to a sink hole near the road’s intersection with Cayuta Avenue. The street will be closed between the intersection and the Salvation Army parking lot. DPW crews temporarily filled the sink hole yesterday and are planning to work on it all day today and hope to have it reopened tonight. The Waverly Police Department says the sink hole was caused by the heavy rains and an issue with a storm drain. Traffic delays are expected and drivers are asked to seek alternate routes. We have shared the road closure notification from the Waverly Police Department on the WEBO Facebook page.
