Numerous people gathered at the Owego VFW yesterday afternoon to remember the attacks on Pearl Harbor 75 years ago. The keynote speaker was Bill Kennedy, a veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor. Several other service members from Tioga County were also stationed at Pearl Harbor on the day of the attacks. Their families were honored in yesterday’s remembrance ceremony as well. Senator Fred Akshar was also in attendance of yesterday’s event, where he paid his respects to the memory of all who served at Pearl Harbor on that fateful day and their families.
