A Pennsylvania man is arrested for being intoxicated while driving a commercial vehicle.
Broome County Sheriff Deputies say they were called to I-81 South near the Town of Kirkwood exit around 1:45 Friday morning. Officials say when they arrived they found a Dimare Fresh produce truck on its side stuck in a creek. Deputies found that the driver, 51-year-old Wayne Davis of Moosic, Pennsylvania, was impaired and took him into custody. Davis is charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle while using a hand-held device, and moving from the lane unsafely. Deputies say the left lane of the highway had to be closed for several hours as crews worked on removing the truck from the creek.
