A Pennsylvania man was sent to jail after state police said he poured gasoline on his girlfriend and shot at her five times. 52-year-old Robert Brundage, Jr. of Moscow, PA, was charged with criminal attempt of homicide. He is being held at the Wayne County Pennsylvania jail in lieu of $1 million bail. State troopers responded to his home at 89 Woodland Drive in Sterling Township Friday night for a reported domestic dispute. Police say Brundage and his girlfriend, 47-year-old Hope Hernandez of Effort, PA, had been drinking at a party. On the way home, Brundage allegedly almost forced Hernandez to drive off the road, and hit her. The girlfriend tried calling 911, but the call didn’t go through. When they got home, police said Hernandez tried to leave. That’s when Brundage allegedly grabbed her hair, broke her glasses, grabbed her cell phone and poured gasoline on her. Police said he also fired five shots from a pistol at her. Hernandez wasn’t hit, and she ran to a neighbor’s house. They called 911. When troopers arrived on scene, they said Brundage fired several shots and they returned fire. After several hours, Brundage came out and surrendered.
