A Tioga County, Pennsylvania woman is being charged with several criminal counts after intentionally starting a wildfire.
39-year-old Brenda Mattis set fire to an open field on Catlin Hollow Road in the Town of Wellsboro last Monday. The field is owned by 41-year-old John Fuller, and is approximately four acres. Multiple fire departments were called to the scene to control the fire. Mattis is facing numerous charges, including arson. Police have not yet determined a motive for starting the fire.
