Police Investigating Rite Aid Robbery In Ithaca

Sheriff deputies are searching for two men following an armed robbery Saturday evening at a drug store in the Town of Ithaca. The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office reports that two masked men displaying handguns entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 330 Pine Tree Road around 6 p.m. and robbed the pharmacy of an unknown quantity of a controlled substance. The men are described as both approximately 6-foot tall. One wore a black jacket with a green hood and black pajama bottoms and carried a duffel bag. The second wore a black jacket and khaki pants, according to the Sheriff’s Office. They fled the store and ran east, crossing Pine Tree Road. They were last seen in a light or white colored SUV on Pine Tree Road. The Sheriff’s office asks anyone having any information about the crime to call (607) 257-1345 or (607) 272-2444. The New York State Police, Cornell University Police and Cayuga Heights Police assisted at the scene.
