The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find the person who robbed a liquor store in New Berlin.
The robbery was reported at 5pm Monday at New Berlin Liquors on North Main Street.
The sheriff’s office says the robber assaulted the store owner, took some money from the register and fled on foot.
He is described as a white male, between 20 and 25 years old, around 6 feet tall with a thin build. The man was wearing blue jeans, a dark-colored winter jacket and a red knit hat.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 337-1924.
