Visitors to the Elmira Corning Regional Airport will soon notice some improvements on the property. Director of Aviation Bill Hopper was on the WEBO Morning Show today to talk about a reconstruction project is underway on the taxiway to the main runway, and to say that the terminal renovation project will begin sometime next month. They are currently accepting bids for the project that will modernize the terminal and add natural light and green space inside the building. The airport is also applying for a grant that would expand their capabilities and allow them to fly to another destination. Currently, ELM offers five daily Delta flights to Detroit and is the only local airline to offer direct flights to Florida with Allegiant Air. The full interview from today is available below.
