Tickets are on sale for Ross Park Zoo’s most exciting fundraiser of the year, the 2023 Feast for the Beasts banquet and lantern festival preview. Guests at the August 2 event will enjoy a catered dinner, guest speakers, live entertainment and a first look at this year’s all-new Illumination for Conservation Lantern Festival, which opens to the general public August 3.
The evening begins at 5:30pm with a cocktail reception and live D.J., followed by a dinner of steak, chicken or vegetarian portobello mushroom entree. There will be an engaging program on some of Ross Park Zoo’s conservation education plans for the future before guests move to the historic lion cage for dessert and music from the band, Shambles.
At 8 p.m., as the sun goes down, the lights come up for the first time on the 2023 Illumination for Conservation lantern festival where guests will not only be enchanted by the dazzling lights, but also learn about the plight of some of the magnificent animals with which we share this planet, including “Gorillas on the Line.”
