A Sayre man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to break into a home and then pulling a BB gun on authorities. 53-year-old Daniel Acorn is accused of attempting to burglarize a home on Seneca Street in Sayre before fleeing from responding police.
Sayre Police Officers later went to Acorn’s apartment on North Lehigh Avenue to question him. When Acorn opened his door, one of the officers noticed a black gun behind his back. The officer managed to get the gun away from Acorn and restrain him. It was only later that authorities discovered that the weapon was a realistic-looking BB gun. Acorn has since been sent to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
