Sen. Tom Libous has sponsored eight bills in a package meant to keep a pledge he made to voters last fall – two of which have already passed the Senate. Among the bills are efforts to restore funding fairness to upstate New York, while helping the state reduce its debt load and avoid tax increases.

Senator Libous added that he hopes before the end of session the Assembly will pass the property tax cap of 2% that the Governor proposed to the Senate in January.
