Police were allegedly shot at after they responded to a violent domestic dispute. The initial call for the dispute came in from a home on Snell Road in Chemung. When police arrived at the residence the alleged dispute instigator, 22 year-old Travis Fedock, had already fled the scene. A second 911 call came in from Fedock’s grandmother’s house, after gun shots were heard nearby. When police arrived at the second residence, they found Fedock hiding in the tree line, where he began opening fire on them. Police returned fire, but no one was hit. Travis Fedock’s father managed to disarm him, and after a brief struggle, police took Fedock into custody. Travis Fedock is now in the Chemung County Jail, where he faces two counts of attempted murder, and more charges are pending.
