The Sullivan Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross is asking for the public’s support. The Elmira chapter’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the Snow Ball, is coming up later this month, but ticket sales are way down.
The Snow Ball is a semi-formal dinner dance held the last Saturday night of January every year. About 300 tickets are sold on average, but so far, only about 150 have been purchased. Organizers think part of that could have to do with a change in venue to the Clemens Center. They’re hoping a last minute rush will help them achieve their goal of raising between $35,000 and $40,000.
Tickets are $75 a person. To purchase tickets, go to the Clemens Center, the Sullivan Trail Chapter, or online at 1redcross.org.
