The Southern Tier Region was awarded $60.4 million during the New York State Regional Economic Development Council’s annual award ceremony. The money has been allocated to the Southern Tier for a total of 63 projects.
$787,000 of that money will go towards projects in Tioga County. Over $5.7 million will be allocated to Broome County projects. About $2.5 million will be allocated to Chemung County projects. The remaining money will aid projects in other counties in the region. There are also numerous projects outside of these totals that span multiple counties.
