A nine-year-old boy from Newark Valley is looking for help from the community.
Wyatt Thompson was born with Spina Bifida and is a non-verbal, paraplegic with a trach and a g-tube. In April of 2023, Wyatt became sick and had to be pulled from his school. At that time, a registered nurse who attended school with him quit.
Wyatt is looking to return to school, but needs to have a registered nurse available to administer medicine in an emergency.
The Thompson family is working with the Newark Valley School District to get Wyatt back in school, but have had no luck so far.
