Come be a part of a new Butterfly Club at Waterman Center, 403 Hilton Road, Apalachin NY.
Learn about butterflies and moths in our area by attending Waterman Center’s free informal Butterfly Club.
The next meeting is Saturday, February 12th from 2 – 3:30pm and is appropriate for all levels of interest and knowledge.
A brief Power Point presentation will be given around 2:30pm that will include where to look for common butterflies of our region and the plants they require.
There will be a different topic at each meeting. Tables will be set up with information about field guides and other resource materials.
Pesticide-free plant recommendations for nectar and caterpillar food will be available, so you can start planning. Prepared seed packages will be available for a small donation. Make a butterfly craft.
Feel free to come once or as often as you like. No membership required. In the spring and summer, there will be field trips.
