Local children will have a chance to talk directly with Santa next week.
The Apalachin Lions Club has installed a direct phone line to the North Pole and persuaded Santa to take phone calls for three nights.
Santa will be waiting by the phone from 6 to 8 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 2 through Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Area children can call Santa Claus at 607-625-HOHO, that’s 607-625-4646.
