One of the victims in Monday night’s crash in Nichols has succumbed to his injuries.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office announced that 63-year-old Calvin H. Pierce of Barton passed away after an accident on West River Road.
Pierce was operating a motorcycle with a passenger when they were involved in a crash with a car. Both people on the motorcycle were thrown off the bike. The passenger remains in critical condition.
The person who was driving the car was detained by police. No charges have been announced at this time, but the sheriff’s office said charges are pending.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
