Friends and family came out last night to remember a 2007 Tioga Center High School grad who died in Afghanistan. A memorial service was held at the Tioga Center School Auditorium for Justin Rogers who was a husband, father, son and friend to many. Sergeant Rogers, a Barton native, leaves behind a wife and a daughter and many other family members. Rogers was a member of Tioga’s football and wrestling teams. His former coaches say he was an ideal role model. He’ll be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
