Tioga County Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal motorcycle accident Tuesday at 7:56 a.m. on East Berkshire Road in the Town of Berkshire. The motorcycle was travelling in west on East Berkshire Road at the time of the accident. The operator, 42-year-old Carl E. Hoaglin, Jr. of Newark Valley, was found to be deceased and was the only person on the motorcycle.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Berkshire Fire Department and Richford Fire Department.
The investigation by the Tioga County Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Unit is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office at 607-687-1010.
