Blackjack player wins $75,000 at Tioga Downs Casino

NICHOLS – One lucky player took home the top prize of $75,000 in a big blackjack tournament at Tioga Downs Casino Resort on Sunday afternoon.

Ricky Chan emerged as the final table chip leader after 20 hands, outlasting a field of 60 entrants who had been earning their way into the blackjack tournament since January.

“This tournament marks a historic milestone for Tioga Downs Casino,” said President and General Manager Charles Otto. “It’s the biggest blackjack tournament we’ve hosted, and we’re hoping to have similar tournaments like this again in 2024. The blackjack tournament, featuring three preliminary rounds, a semi-final, and a final round, awarded players in the second through sixth places cash prizes of $10,000, $8,000, $5,000, $1,000, and $1,000, respectively.
