Just after 8 o’clock last night the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing at 281 Thorn Hollow Road. Upon arrival deputies found the body of 39-year-old Milton Jump, who had been stabbed once with a kitchen knife. The incident was reported by 62-year-old Doug Every. Deputies say both the victim, Jump, and Every lived in the home together. After further investigation, Every, who is a local Realtor, was charged with 2nd degree Murder and taken into custody. He was arraigned by town of Tioga Justice Martin at about 3 AM, and Every was remanded to the Tioga County Jail without bail. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the coroner’s office, and the investigation has been turned over to the Tioga County District Attorney’s Office. The charge of Murder in the 2nd degree carries a sentence of 25 years to life, if convicted.
