The Broome-Tioga Farm to School Program is receiving $100,000 that will help 15 schools in Broome and Tioga Counties.

The money was awarded to the program during the ninth round of the New York State Farm to School program.

The Farm to School program will help the school districts increase the volume and variety of New York State farm products purchased and served in school meal programs.

The goal of the program is to help students not only eat healthy foods during the school day, but also learn about agriculture and food systems.
