The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Candor man for the rape of a minor.
According to police, 42-year-old William E. Youst, Jr. has been charged with felony rape in the second degree, strangulation in the second degree and criminal contempt in the first degree.
The charges resulted from an investigation into Youst for unlawful sexual contact with a person less than 17 years of age.
Youst was remanded to the Tioga County Jail.
