A Candor man is facing charges after police searched his home as part of a child pornography investigation. Merwin “Butch” Crowe, of Howard Hill Road in Candor, was originally charged on Thursday with a felony count of possessing a sexual performance by a child. The arrest comes as a result of State Police out of Owego and the State Police computer crimes unit executing a search warrant at Crowe’s residence. He was given a ticket and is set to appear in Candor Town Court next Monday.
