Owego-based troopers say a man died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in the 400 block of Spencer Road in the town of Candor Monday night. 41-year-old Jeremy Taylor of Horseheads suffered the fatal injuries. State police say that for an unknown reason, Taylor failed to negotiate a curve, entered a field and suffered multiple internal injuries. He was transported by Candor EMS to Guthrie Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A witness told troopers that the motorcycle was traveling in a westerly direction when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction failed to dim its high beams but it is unknown if that caused Taylor to crash. The incident remains under investigation.
