Crews responded to a fire at the town of Candor Highway Department building late yesterday afternoon. At approximately 4:45 pm, Smoke was seen coming from all sides of the building where town vehicles are stored. Highway equipment and vehicles suffered significant damage, according to fire officials. Two of the town’s plow trucks remained inside of what is left of the building as of last night. Both were unable to be salvaged from the fire. One loader and a dump truck were undamaged.
