The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of the one car crash on Route 96 in Candor on Monday. 58-year-old Kevin Robinson was driving north and went of the westerly side of the highway and struck several objects, including a utility pole. When police arrived, Mr. Robinson was found deceased. The accident occurred at about 2:28PM. The highway was closed in both directions for about five hours. There was only one occupant of the vehicle. The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Candor Fire Department, Candor EMS, Owego Fire Department, Campville Fire Department, New York State Department of Transportation and NYSEG. The investigation, by the Tioga County Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Unit, is ongoing.
