The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has detained one individual following an accident in the Town of Nichols earlier this week.
According to police, the accident involved a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of West River Road and Tioga Downs at around 8:17 p.m. on Monday.
Two people were thrown off the motorcycle during the crash. Both were taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre with serious injuries.
The driver of the car was detained. The sheriff’s office did not release the identity of the suspect.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
