The former Cornell University student who threatened to kill Jewish students on Cornell’s campus last year has been sentenced.
According to the United States Department of Justice, 22-year-old Patrick Dai has been sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to posting threats to kill or injure another person using interstate communications.
Dai was arrested on Oct. 31, 2023 after he made the anti-Semitic threats towards Cornell’s campus just weeks after Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7.
He will also serve a three-year term of post release supervision which includes no contact with Cornell University as well as mental health treatment and monitoring of his electronic devices and internet use.
