Motorists traveling east on State Route 17 in Owego should expect delays in the early morning hours on Friday due to roadwork.
According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the eastbound late of 17 will be closed between Exit 65 and Exit 66 in the Town of Owego from 2 am to 6 am to allow crews to work on a damaged guard rail.
A signed detour will be in place to send traffic to Route 434 eastbound at Exit 65 and returning to 17 at Exit 66.
Weather could impact the work schedule. Motorists should allow extra time during their commute.
