A state transportation department project is replacing the decks on three bridges carrying State Route 960J (Exit 65) over State Route 17, the Susquehanna River, and State Route 17C, all located in the Town of Owego, Tioga County.
Currently, both the bridge over the Susquehanna River and the bridge over State Route 17C are closed for the deck replacement work. It is currently anticipated the bridge will re-open to vehicle traffic by September 18. Variable message signs will continue to be used to inform motorists of the closure, and the detour route will remain signed until it is no longer needed.
