Longtime Tioga County Veterans Service Agency Director Mike Middaugh has announced that he will be leaving his post later this month to take on a new role with the state.
Middaugh has served Tioga County’s veterans for the past nine years. He will be embarking on a new journey with the New York State Department of Veterans Services.
He said in a Facebook post that he’s hoping to build on what is being done in Tioga County and see it replicated in various forms across New York.
Middaugh will officially step down from the county Veterans’ agency on Jan. 15.
