A 44-year-old Nichols man is facing charges after he allegedly stole a bulldozer and caused damaged at Kirby Park.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, Timothy J. Cole has been charged with felony grand larceny in the second degree and misdemeanor criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
Deputies were called to Kirby Park on Nov. 11 for reports of damage to the grass, pavement and landscaping boulders from what appeared to be heavy machinery.
Investigators determined that a bulldozer was stolen from a construction site near the park and driven through the park onto public roadways. The bulldozer was later recovered 1 ½ miles from the construction site.
Cole was arraigned and released pending future court action.
