UPDATE:
Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a armed bank robbery this afternoon at the Community Bank at 41 River Road in Nichols. Tioga County deputies responded at 12:15 p.m. to the bank, according to a news release. The sheriff’s office reported three subjects were in custody by 4pm … no other details about the robbery itself were released. No injuries to bank employees was reported. The Tioga County Sherriff’s office is continuing its investigation.

According to several sources, the Community Bank in Nichols was robbed this afternoon. Tioga County Sheriff’s Office had no official news release when contacted by WEBO but media reports say a man walked into the bank, wearing a hoodie and sunglasses and then fled on foot with a plastic bag full of cash … no reports of injuries.
